While we all love XBL Gold and can't understand why everyone isn't playing games with us, XBL Silver users who buy COD4 have paid just as much for the game as the rest of us. I hope it's the wave of the future that no one is punished, gamerscore-wise, for not being an XBL Gold member. And yeah, MP achievements are just excuses for people to take time out and have "achievement earning matches", anyways. Let’s not forget that MP achievements leave XBL Silver users out in the cold.
